Tanni Grey MBE is probably the most famous British Paralympian.This wheelchair athlete is a prodigious collector of medals.
After winning a bronze medal in the Seoul Paralympics of 1988, she won 4 gold medals at the Barcelona Paralympics of 1992, smashing many world records. She then went on to win another 4 gold medals at the world championships in Berlin 1994, as well as winning the London Marathon of that year. In Atlanta last year she gained gold in the 800m, breaking the world record and also came back with 2 silvers. She has been awarded the MBE, been a panellist on 'A Question of Sport' and been the subject of 'This is your life'! She also happens to be one of the nicest people you could meet.
